Riverwind Rabbitry & Farms

(Specializing in Rare Heritage Breed Rabbits & Poultry)

A Little About Us...

Riverwind Rabbitry & Farm is a small family hobby farm.  We are are a Motley Crue made up myself, Eric, my darling wife Sarah, our son, Alex and daughter Shannon.

The farm is comprised of not only bunnies, but also a host of different kinds of chickens, ducks, geese, and our three dogs, "Rex" (Mini-Schnauzer) & "Rascal" (Lhasa Apso), and our newest addition "Jack" a mixed Golden Retriever/Shepherd with one blue eye, he is our herd guard dog.  Then there are 2 barn cats named "Mystic" & "Aurora" and our daughter's Manx (Cat naturally born with no tail) silver and grey tiger kitty, named "Storm".

We have many interests that not only include rabbits, & poultry, but also Renaissance Festivals (Reenactment of Medieval and Fantasy timeframe).  We used to setup and sell some of our handmade wares which included jewelry, leather working, clay smoking pipes and other attire.  Due to time restraints we now just enjoy attending as we can. YUP,we basically are BIG KIDS, with kids of our own, and try to enjoy life to it's fullest.  We also have interests in genealogy and local preservation and history.

(BELOW) a photo of the kids up at Lake Michigan on a trip visiting our friends there in 2007.

(BELOW) some pictures of our 2007 vacation trip to Chicago.  We took the kids up to see the "King Tut" exhibit in the Chicago Museum.  We also went up to the BRISTOL REN FEST, took about a week, we had a blast.  One of the photos is of the kids standing in front of the giant T-Rex named "Sue" which is a trademark image of the FIELDS MUSEUM.

(LEFT) This weird looking chair is of Alex sitting in the BARBARIAN THRONE at the K.C. (Kansas City) RenFaire 2008.
This is a photo of Sarah and the kids taken at one of the parks near Lake Erie.  Alex is in the background acting silly as usual waving bye.

Here are some new pictures I took Nov.2008 of both the kids, Alex & Shannon, they are taken here in our hometown of Lebanon, Missouri as a Historic Register Home called the PLOGER -MONEYMAKER HOME.  It is a common spot for photographs with all the beautiful fall leaves especially.  I titled this photo "Taking a Fall Moment"

Here is another shot of our two kids, and one of Shannon's good friends, Emily, taken on the front porch of the Historic Home.  I am not a professional photographer by any means, but I enjoy dabbling, and I titled this photo "The Allure of Friends".

And last but not least here is another shot of our two kids, and Shannon's friend, Emily taken in the front yard with all the fall leaves falling around them.
